We just got word yesterday that the dealerships that me and Ryan both worked for here in Ozark, are shutting down. I know that doesn't really affect us, since we don't work there, but we do still have friends there and are saddened by the news. Everyone there has a family and a lot of them have stay at home wives, and now neither the husband or the wife has a job. My heart goes out to them. A lot of them have worked there for decades and only had 2 days notice that they were losing their jobs. They have suffered great loss in the past month, after the owner was found shot to death at one of the dealerships. I know its the sign of the times, everyone is hurting for business and it could easily happen to Ryan since he works in the car industry too. God has a plan for us, even though its hard to see it at times like these.

Mirror, Mirror

I took these pictures the other day while Adriana was singing and talking in front of the mirror with my hat on. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and talk and laugh, its too cute.

We had a pretty low key weekend. Didn't really do too much. Saturday we went to a few garage sales and then had some friends over for a BBQ that evening. Sunday morning, Adriana woke up with a high fever and said she didn't feel good. She ran a fever all day and only threw up once. I don't know what it was, but in only lasted on Sunday. Ryan, of course, was looking up "swine flu" on the Internet to make sure she didn't have that. Whatever it was, it ran its course and she is fine now.
Not much else is going on with us, still no bites on our house. We're still praying that someone will come along and want to buy. We'll keep you posted.

Big News

As you can tell from our new picture on our blog, from my child's dirty new shirt, Adriana is going to be a big sister! I go to the doctor in May, so I'll know a specific due date then. Besides feeling tired and hungry/nauseous all the time, I'm doing pretty good. I'm not near as sick with this pregnancy as I was with Adriana. I think its going to be a boy because of this difference. We are excited and look forward to this new adventure. I think Adriana will be a good little helper when the baby comes. She loves to change her baby's poopy diapers and rocking her to sleep. However, she also gets extremely jealous when I hold Zoe let alone another baby! Lots of adventures lay ahead.

Sleeping on the Floor

I took this picture yesterday durning Adriana's nap. I fought her for close to 2 hours to stay in bed and take a nap. She was wound up! The only reason I wanted her to stay in bed yesterday, is because I was needing a nap too! I told myself that if she got up again, then I would just let her stay up (this being at 3:30pm). I heard her get up and play by the door. She always does this when she gets out of bed. She laid there and played for sometime, and then it dawned on me that she had be quite for about 10 minutes. I had a feeling she feel asleep on the floor and sure enough she had. Some kids can sleep anywhere, the dinner table, toilet, shopping cart, you name it and they are snoozing, but not Adriana. She is just like me and has to have her bed and quite, that's why I was so suprised.
I couldn't open the door all the way, so I stuck the camera in and took a picture. I thought it was too funny.

Drama Queen

Here's a video I took of Adriana the other day. I told her not to do something. She didn't get in trouble, I didn't even raise my voice, but since we are in our wonderful 2 year old stage of life, this was the reaction. She started crying to Zoe. Daddy wasn't at home for her to run to, so Zoe had to do for the moment. Of course, by the time I got the camera out (after about 3-4 minutes of continual crying) she starting pretending to cry. I wish I would have gotten it from the get go, because she was crying right in Zoe's face and Zoe couldn't have looked any more scared if she wanted to. It was so funny! Anyway, here is 2 year old drama. Fun times!

Adriana's new favorite person

All of a sudden, Adriana has been talking about PopPop. PopPop is Ryan's dad. Since they live so far away, we try to talk about all of Ryan's family a lot, so Adriana won't forget them. Well, lately everything has been about PopPop. She wants to show him her shoes, hair, carseat, have him read books, pretty much anything relates to PopPop. Once she talks about PopPop she'll mention HeeHee (Ryan's mom) and Jack and Riley (Adriana's cousins), Kara and Lauren (Ryan's sisters). We go through the whole list of people quite often. But PopPop still wins. So PopPop, Adriana wants to say that she loves you and misses you. (same to everyone else in Alabama).

House On Market

Well, we signed our lives away last night. We went ahead and put our house on the market last night. I still have to clear out a lot of junk out of house to make our 1250 sq ft house look as big as possible, so I'm off to rent a storage shed today. Hopefully we will sell our house and find a bigger house that will accommodate us and all our junk. Pray that something will happen quickly.

Easter Weekend

This is the post I have been dreading, because I want to download so many pictures, and it takes forever! Anyway, I'm going to try to have patience and let them download, because they are good. We had a big weekend. Saturday me and mom had another garage sale at their house to try to get rid of more of our crap, oops, I mean our valuable treasures. Anyway, while we did that, my dad, Ryan and Adriana colored Easter Eggs. Since Ryan and Adriana were trapped at home without a mode of transportation, my dad went out to our house with eggs and they had a good time. I was quite nervous about the men being in charge with no supervision (since they were asking how to boil the eggs) but they actually did really good. They turned out really cute. I bought Adriana an egg kit last year and so this year they got to do it. The kit was making the characters from Sesame Street. They turned out cute and Adriana had a good ol' time. Here are pictures from that event...

Adriana had an Easter egg hunt at school on Wednesday. I don't think it was as traumatic as the one on Sunday and she had fun with all her friends. Here are pictures that her teachers sent to me from that hunt...

On Easter Sunday we went to church. We had a great time and then went to mom and dad's house for an Easter feast! It was good eatin'. Adriana had another egg hunt over there. She wasn't wild about them to begin with and by the end of Easter she had participated in about 3 of them. She had fun finding the eggs and seeing what Mimi and Pa put inside of them. Here are some pictures of that...

I'm bored!

Today has been a long day already and its not even 1pm. We had some storms blow through last night, we didn't get anything too bad, just a good thunderstorm out of the whole thing, but today its cold and dreary. I hate being cooped up in the house so we went and ran a few places this morning, but nothing fun. Now as I sit here typing, Adriana is watching a video and I'm ready for her to go down for a nap. I know that sounds bad, but I'm ready for a little break. I'm tired today. I woke up at 6am to Zoe freaking out over seeing a cat on our deck. Its the worse sound you have ever heard, and this isn't the first time she has woke us up having a fit. I never did go back to sleep after that, and I'm beat!
Me and my mom are having ANOTHER garage sale tomorrow. I want to get rid of all the crap I have, and if I don't sell it, its going to Goodwill. I hope it will warm up quickly tomorrow, the morning temperature is suppose to be around 34 degrees.
Well, I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone is having a good Friday and a very Happy Easter.

A Busy Weekend

We had a great weekend. Normally we sit around and do nothing, but this weekend was full of fun. On Saturday morning we went to Braum's to have some biscuits and gravy and then met our realtor to look at a house. We decided last week to meet with him because the interest rates are so low right now we just wanted to see what we could afford and/or if there is anything out there right now. We have decided to put our house on the market and see if it will sell first. I know, we have not even been in our house for 2 years, but its a small house and we have no storage and we are busting at the seems. If we can't sell it, we will just refinance and get a shed. Anyway, I say all that to explain why we met with our realtor. We loved the house we looked at, but again, we have to sell ours first. Saturday afternoon was pretty laid back. Ryan cut the grass for the first time this season and me and Adriana filled Easter eggs for a hunt we had at church on Sunday.
The highlight for me was Saturday evening. We got to go down to Branson and meet up with a friend of mine from high school. We have not seen each other for at least 6 years, and really haven't gotten to visit for probably close to 10 years. We had such a great time! It was so good to see her and her husband again and meet her kids. Adriana loved playing with her kids too. She has 4 kids under the age of 6 (I could NEVER in a million years do that, but she is a great mom) and Adriana loved playing with all of them. Nikki's little girl, Laney, was so sweet to Adriana and they got along great. It was just a great time. I hope we can do it again, soon.

despite the looks on their faces)

On Sunday we had an Easter Egg Hunt at church. Our Sunday School Class had a luncheon and then let the kids go on an Egg Hunt. All the kids, except for mine, had a great time. Adriana was just in a mood yesterday and didn't really enjoy it or understand it. Either way, it was still fun to get together with all our church friends and visit.

Sorry Zoe

I took this video last night. Adriana has it out for Zoe, and I think its because Zoe likes to lay on my lap in the evenings and Adriana doesn't like to share Mommy. Whatever the reason, the way she treats Zoe is uncalled for. She will just go up and hit Zoe in the face or pull her ears or tail, yank hair out by the fist fulls and so on. Anyway, I sit Adriana in time out when she does this and tells her to apologize to Zoe for hurting her. This method of discipline doesn't work real great, because she keeps hurting her. Anyway, I couldn't help but laugh at the way she was telling Zoe sorry last night. She kept getting in the cats face and telling her that she was sorry. Zoe had had enough, but it was still funny. Enjoy...

Sick Drama

Adriana has always been really sensitive to any kind of drama, good or bad. She really takes in things, and if its disturbing in any way, she will always replay what happened over and over. Anytime she has gotten sick (throwing up) herself, it is very upsetting to her and she will just cry, which is understandable. Well, last night we had let Zoe out in the backyard to explore and she must have eaten something out there that made her belly upset. She had come in and we were all in the family room and Zoe started to heave, I knew what was coming and Adriana just stood there watching her heaving, wondering what Zoe was doing. Well, Zoe finally got sick (to put it nicely) and Adriana started screaming her head off! It was the funniest thing ever! (I am laughing just thinking about it.) She just started crying and crying, and pointing to Zoe's "treat" she left on the carpet. It really traumatized her! She just kept crying for several minutes, once Ryan had it cleaned up she still would go over and point to where it was and would relive the drama all over again. Too funny!
